Arco d’Aguieira Branco 2017

2017 was the earliest harvest in memory, after a dry winter, moderate rains in Spring and a harsh dry summer. However, there were no diseases and less need for treatments. The lack of water lead to a very fast maturation, and early harvest (mid-August). Great grape quality, intense colored wines, higher alcohol content and balanced acidity.

Soft pressing of the grapes and fermentation at controlled temperatures. Maria Gomes grape variety ages in stainless-steel vats for 9 months. The remaining grape varieties age in second use French-oak barrels for 9 months, with weekly battônage.
