“20 years after I started working at this estate (Quinta), I continue to wander through these vineyards with the same emotion.
Time has passed by and with it, the dream of creating a project at Quinta d’Aguieira has blossomed, in which the mosaic of micro-terroirs, painted throughout these 21 hectares, would be the origin of everything.
The knowledge of the soil, unique due to its location in the Northern part of the Bairrada Region, was gathered with vivid observation and dedication.
Rising from the riverbed, thousands of years ago, this soil showed us the best that could be obtained from it, with the most adapted grape varieties.
Our respect for the terroir gave us means to create wines with identity that reflect the place where they were born.
The essence of this singularity, mirrored in each bottle, sublimated through time.
When my uncle Luís and my father António fell in love with this Quinta, in 1997, it was due to its past, the quality and longevity of the wines produced here, and the future they foresaw for this Quinta and for this Region.
I arrived here at the age of 26, full of dreams and, with time, the same that crosses this Arch, we designed a range of singular wines born here, at Quinta d’Aguieira, with which I hope you will fall in love, as I did.”
